The Mysore Trip – Thanks for the memories guys!!

Well a plan that came out of no where. We were just sitting in class and some really boring hour was going on suddenly a chord struck and bang we were planning to go out some where. It has been over one and half years since I have joined college and absolutely no class trips! Insane!!

So we guys planned up to go to Mysore, well destination was not important as our main intention was just to go out *somewhere*. So there was an announcement in class that whole class is going to Mysore. I knew no one gonna come lol.. Anyways, the plan was to ask our H.O.D a permission for the trip. Did they believe he was going to give it anyways ?? Well, they never asked so the plan dropped for the week, but it made us more eager to go out. So we decided on Thursday that we are going out on Friday. Well, we planned way too much and there was no vehicle to hire lol.. So finally on Friday, we prepared a list of Guys going to Mysore. It was a list of 20 guys wow! Me, Supreeth and Vinay went to travels to book the ticket and departure time was Saturday Morning 6:30. Yes, 6:30 AM!! We informed everyone to be in front of College Bus stop by 6:30 and bang all were there by 6:45. WOW!! These are the guys who come late everyday to class lol..

Well, we took off around 7AM, everyone excited and in unbelief that it was really happening! Well initially all were sitting quite, yeah I understand we didn’t had our breakfast yet. So we told the driver to stop near any restaurant. Now our tummy was full, and ready for the day. The screaming and shouting started as soon the food source entered their stomach. While on the route to Mysore we passed by Wonderla (Amusement park) so our next month destination is (you guessed it).

We reached Sriranga Patnam to see Tippu Sultan’s Summer Palace and I was like wow! so many changes, the complete summer palace was reworked. With some antiques on display like tippu’s Cloth, a 3d painting of him, a looooooooong list of his sons photo. Last count was 7 I guess lol.. Then some Daggers, swords, guns. Camera’s were prohibited inside the palace, so we took some snaps outside the palace near a cannon.

From the summer palace we left to see his burial ground (samadhi). In the tomb there were graveyard of Hyderali, Tippu and some female. Damn!! Did I mention the parking fee was Rs 50 that sucked!! Then we left for Chamundi Hills Mr. Vinay K.S gave us an wonderful idea to remove our footwares and walk till the temple. Unknowing our near future we did!! With 2 minutes we came to know that the Road was so damn #$)($#(#$ hot that we were not able to walk on it. Qe all decided to run as fast as possible to the nearest shade. Finally we reached the temple and yes we had to return through the same road. Crap . Again we ran for our life and by the time we were back in bus I could see couple of boils on my feet. Thank You Vinay . From there we went to have our lunch and went to St. Philomena’s Church. We took some Snaps and headed straight to Balmuri Falls. Well it is not a big natural fall but it is just a small check across the DAM. Where, the water is shallow. This is where all guys unwinded, everyone jumped into water and some took there first bath of the year lol .

Then we decided to go to Brindavan Gardens but unfortunately it was closed as due to recent Kaveri Water problem between Karnataka and TamilNadu. Well we headed back home, the fun was not over yet!! While on way back they had put some really boring Kannada Movie in the coach. I was literally bored to death. Suddenly the idea of Antakshari struck my head, I asked everyone and turned of the video. We divided the team in two the Left row seated guys vs the Right row seated guys. The Battle began!! Songs after songs.. Hindi, Kannada everyone singing their heart out. Yeah we did discover a rare talent. It was again Mr. KS who can sing any song with his own lyrics and DAMN!! it sounds so real. lol..

We sung all the way back home and were back in Bangalore by 9PM. A full day trip worth every bit of it. Those who missed it.. Sorry guys and girls may be next time .
