Say bye bye to Spams

I love Askimet and there is a reason why. For the starters Askimet is nothing but a wordpress plugin that can’t stand spam.Well who can ? Before Askimet I was using Spam Karma, which saved me from over 10K spams but at later time it was generating a lot of problem. I was looking for an alternative and there came Askimet. Only couple of times I have found this plugin as marked a genuine comment as a spam other than that it has been perfect in detecting spam. It has already caught 5,599 spam well thats an impressive number. Imagine the time it has saved, else I would have to delete them manually one by one.

Askimet is surely a smart plugin because recently there was a comment like

“I did not understand some part of this article name may be I should refer some more resources. “

This comment looks so natural as it is in perfect english and it automatically adds the article name into the comment. It doesnt carry any spammy link, but in the url field it has it’s url. To my amazement Askimet detected as a spam.Very smart Askimet .

I recommend all fellow bloggers to install this plugin into your wordpress blog. If you haven’t still, you are missing something very important.

Steps to Install Askimet

1. Download Askimet plugin and unzip.
2. Upload the plugin file to your WordPress plugins directory inside of wp-content.
3. Activate it from the plugins menu inside of WordPress.
4. Enter your API key.
5. Forget that spam was ever a problem.

Well a small fact:

93% of all comments are spam!! So let this be the reason for you to use this plugin.
