To install Joomla using cpanel just login into your cpanel and browse through Fantastico>CMS>Joomla . Here just fill in the details like Admin Username and Password, Cpanel will automatically create the database for you. The main downside of this installation is that you might not get the latest Joomla Version availaible there but you can update your installation anytime they update it.

The other way to install Joomla is installing it manually. You can download the latest version of Joomla here. To install it this way you have to create the database and use the database details at the time of installation. To create a new database just go to Cpanel>mySQL and create one there. Also create a user too and make the user to use the database.
