Bajaj Pulsar 220 cc DTSFi

Bajaj LogoYesterday I went to Khivraj Motors to get my Avenger serviced. After giving it for servicing went into the showroom to see the all new 220cc pulsar. The first look of it didn’t impress me much, just reminded me of Hero Honda Karizma(KRZ) . But the DOOM of the pulsar 220 cc does look good at least when compared to Karizma. Feature wise it is much superior to KRZ. Regarding the price, the on road cost of the Bajaj Pulsar 220 cc DTSFi is Rs. 91,360. If you are comparing it with Karizma well I would say invest extra and go for Pulsar 220cc as feature wise it is much much superior to Karizma. Front/Back disk brakes, tubeless tyres, Fuel Injection/oil cooled engine are few such features which Karizma lack.

I must admit there 220 cc commercial on the tv is surely one of the much talked about commercial. Here is the commercial of the pulsar 220.

Here is the technical specification.

    Hi,
I would like to know the expected mileage of this bike in city and highway. Is the bike good for long distance rides such as 150-650 km ? I plan to use it to visit goa from bangalore.
    regards,

None of the Pulsar has an oil cooled engine. R15 is the only Indian bike to have oil cooled engine.

    Still, P220 Rocks!!!
