Bajaj Avenger 200cc – Here comes the cruiser
Bajaj has recently launched the Avenger 200cc a successor to Avenger 180cc which I currently own making my bike look old he he.. Actually just before the promos started coming on TV I had the luck to see one, when I had gone to get my bike serviced at Khivraj Motors (Bangalore). I saw a blue colour 200cc Avenger. It didn’t had the windshield which they have recently added. Lets see whats so special about this upgrade.

Here is the technical specification:
| Engine | |

Comparison :
Lets us compare the two bikes the 180cc and the 200cc to see whats new and if it is worth upgrading.
Engine Displacement:
- Avenger 180cc – 180cc
- Avenger 200cc – 200c
Initial Start:
- Avenger 180cc – Self Start and Kick Start
- Avenger 200cc – Only Self Start
Fuel Indicator
- Avenger 180cc – Not Present
- Avenger 200cc – Yes
Wind Shield
- Avenger 180cc – Not Present
- Avenger 200cc – Yes
Cooling
- Avenger 180cc – Air Cooled
- Avenger 200cc – Both Air and Oil Cooled.
Fuel Lock
- Avenger 180cc – Not Present
- Avenger 200cc – Available
Apart from these there haven’t been much changes. No changes into the looks except the Windshield which is optional. I was looking for a windshield everywhere but couldn’t find a good one even in JC Road. Now Bajaj itself is making it cool
, but there is a set back, the windshield is a bit costly as it is priced at Rs. 2300 . Anyways I am going to add a windshield to my Avenger 180cc soon. The fuel indicator is a good upgrade, Bajaj avoided it in 180cc to give it a classic cruiser look. But they have realized Indian customers do prefer a fuel indicator as they are way too mileage conscious. Regarding more news from Bajaj get ready for Bajaj Pulsar 300cc which will hit the market soon.
Well the conclusion is I am not upgrading my Avenger any soon, I love my 180cc .
I feel like “GOD” .
