AdGinger Launched

AdGinger has launched it’s official website, where advertisers can buy sms packages to send advertisements to mGinger publishers. I registered to AdGinger with a plan to promote up coming Merabuddy. The concept of this advertising method is interesting, because you can target your publishers better. Mobile advertising is not new in India because we Indians get strange sms from strange companies promoting strange products. But with AdGinger the mobile advertising is getting more organized.

AdGinger promises you higher conversion rate compated to other SPAM sms senders. AdGinger sends advertisements to it’s mGinger publishers who in turn get paid for receiving the sms.

Running Campaigns
Once the target audience is chosen, advertisement campaigns can be run for this
audience. A campaign can consist of one or more “Runs”. Each run would send one
advertisement creative (SMS text) to the target once. Each run in a campaign can have
different messages.
Messages can be of three types:

1. Branding Messages: “Quench your thirst…drink Pepsi”
2. Response Messages: “BankXoffers personal loans at low interest rates. Call back or SMS 9xxxxxxxx for more details”
3. Coupon Messages: “Shop at MartX. Show this coupon and get 25% discount. Coupon id: 987654321”

• 1-5000 SMS Ads Rs. 2.00/- per SMS
• 5000-10,000 SMS Ads Rs. 1.75/- per SMS
• 10,000 – 25,000 SMS Ads Rs. 1.50/- per SMS
• >25,000 SMS Ads Negotiable

(12.36% service tax extra)

The pricing set by AdGinger seems a bit costly to me. mGinger Pays there publishers 20 paise per message and AdGinger is charging Rs. 2 per message. The profit range of AdGinger seems way too high. They should cut on there price, else they will loose lots of potential advertisers like me. Considering the fact that me being a mGinger publisher, the chances of me reading the sms is very low. I am already spammed by my network provider (Hutch) with there promotional sms which I delete with pleasure.
